Per load = capacity × fill% · Trips = ⌈volume ÷ per load⌉

Hydrovac excavation spoil

Formula

Bank volume = L × W × D · Loose volume = bank × (1 + swell%). Swell varies by soil and water content; slurry from hydrovac can be much more. Use your own numbers.

Subtotal = hours × rate + disposal + km × rate/km · GST = 5% of subtotal · Total = subtotal + GST. (Alberta has no PST; other provinces differ.)
